Hacking a billboard could land you trouble, but it's fair to say hacking a billboard thenstreaming porn through it could get you in extra big trouble -- especially in Indonesia where it's banned.

Police arrested an unidentified 24-year-old IT expert on Tuesday, alleged to have been responsible for gaining access to an electronic billboard and displaying footage from a Japanese porn film at a busy south Jakarta intersection last Friday.

According to The Jakarta Post, it's believed the man gained access to the billboard when he took a photo of the username and password which had been accidentally displayed on its screen.

The suspect claimed he worked alone, but police have yet to discover the photograph on the man's phone showing the billboard's username and password according to local news outlet Kompas.

Police are also investigating if the man had a motive, or just did it for fun.

Indonesia has strict laws on pornography, and if the perpetrator is charged he could face a maximum prison sentence of six years and a fine of one billion rupiah (US$76,825).
