There must always be a Stark in Winterfell, and on Sunday's 。 Game of Thrones 。, after many years, there were two. 。
Little Brandon Stark (not so little anymore) finally came home, but he and sister Sansa are vastly different people from who they were when she first left home. 。
We knew Bran was on his way back, but haven't heard from him since episode 1. When a knight said "Lady Sansa -- at the gate," we knew what was coming just from his tone. 。
Bran's arrival in Winterfell shocks everyone, not just his sister. He was supposed to have been killed by Theon Greyjoy (tbt), and ever since then he's been so removed from all of Westeros that people considered him all but dead (a common state of being for Starks). 。

That happens to be the tip of the creepy iceberg. The siblings get some privacy by their favorite tree, lamenting Jon's absence and reflecting on their lost time.。
"You're father's last living true-born son," Sansa says. "You're Lord of Winterfell."。
Thanks for signing up! 。
"I can never be Lord of Winterfell," Bran replies simply. "I can never be lord of anything. I'm the Three-Eyed Raven."。
Because Sansa doesn't have HBO and hasn't been watching her brother's journey, she has no idea what that means. So, Bran decides to explain by telling her about her wedding night, which he didn't physically witness.。SEE ALSO:We just lost one of the best 'Game of Thrones' characters in the most brutal way possible。
"It was beautiful that night," he says. "Snow falling, just like now. And you were so beautiful in your white wedding dress."。
As we all know (Bran included), Sansa was brutally raped on her wedding night by Ramsay Bolton, which isn't exactly the happy anecdote to remind your sister of after years apart. Sansa leaves, which is the only really appropriate action. She's shaken; this is not the Bran she knew as a child. The Three-Eyed Raven unsettles her with his knowledge -- not least by reminding her of a horrific part of her life she was trying to put behind her.。
The start of Season 7 had Jon and Sansa clashing as leaders, and Bran's return is sure to stir the pot. Winterfell may want a male lord because Westeros is a patriarchal nightmare, and now that Bran is all-seeing it's clear that he's going to be kind of a pain in the butt. 。SEE ALSO:'Game of Thrones' has finally introduced Lady Stoneheart, just not in the way we imagined。
Bran's days as carefree middle Stark brother are over. He has a higher duty, and he could prove powerful in the war against the dead -- he has, after all, seen them (in and out of raven mode). But how he treats Jon and Sansa is still crucial -- without them, he's back in the woods with no direction. 。
Will he completely destabilize the solidarity Jon and Sansa have created in the North?
