Donald Trump may have a tremendous amount of haters across the world, but thankfully, he still has Russia in his corner.
A new poll by the Pew Research Center shows that while more than a whopping three-quarters of the world has essentially zero faith in Trump's leadership (NBD), Russia and Israel still think the guy's not that bad. Big win!
SEE ALSO:Trump’s Tech Week did not make America greatAccording to the data collected from 37 nations across the globe, confidence in the U.S. president's policies andcharacter has dropped significantly, especially in nations with close relations to the United States, like Europe and Asia.
Neighboring countries like Canada and Mexico — whose border Trump wants to build his great wall along in hopes of cutting down on illegal immigration — have also lost confidence in the president since his election. Trump's wall is opposed by an average of 76 percent of people across the surveyed countries and a massive 94 percent of people in Mexico, which makes it hard to believe they will "eventually" pay for the wall to be built.
And sadly, Trump's personal image isn't the only thing that's been tarnished since he's taken office. The U.S. is getting a bad wrap, too. Since the end of Obama's presidency, how other countries view the U.S. has also suffered — with 64 percent viewing America favorably as Obama was leaving office and 49 percent viewing the country favorably at the start of Trump's presidency.
In fact, Trump received higher approval ratings than Obama in just two countries: Israel and Russia. 🤔
Trump and his administration's relationship with Russia, along with accusations of Russian president Vladamir Putin's tampering with the U.S. election, have been serious points of contention since Trump took office, so the fact that the Donald's favorability has risen in Russia is truly something. And though we already knew France disliked Trump more than Putin, this poll revealed the 37 nations have more confidencein Putin than Trump.
Ugh, remember when the world used to think America was great?
