When it comes to the gadgets we use the most, sometimes a little extra transparency can go a long way -- just think about how long it took for us to find out what went wrong with the Galaxy Note 7. Literally making phone casings crystal clear, though, might just be taking the sentiment to the extreme.
YouTuber JerryRigEverything did just that and decided to create a transparent Galaxy S8, à la those classic, clear Game Boy Colors gamers loved in the mid-90s.

Then he used paint and epoxy remover to strip the paint and give the back of the phone that see-through look.
After that, he removed some of the internal components, like the wireless charging panel and some of the loudspeaker plastics, to better display some of the more aesthetically pleasing innards. Once some adhesive strips were applied to protect from dust, the shiny new S8's back was totally transparent.
It looks cool, sure -- but with the mod, he loses the capacity for wireless charging, waterproofing, and any semblance of a warranty. We don't get any proof the phone actually works, either, aside from a quick flash of a powered-on screen as he shows off the now-transparent rear.
This is far from the first time he's torn up a brand new S8. The account is also behind some other recent videos of S8 destruction, treating viewers to clips of the flagship's internals being slashed up with a knife and burned, stabbed, and bent. This time, at least he kept the phone abuse to a minimum.
