As the ongoing debate over gun control continues following the deadly Feb. 14 shooting at a Florida high school, President Trump again upped the ante for shocking comments by criticizing deputies who didn't enter the school and claiming he would have done so himself had he been present.

He then added, "You don't know until your tested... but I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon," a statement met by jokes, criticism, and derision by the internet.

The reactions to the president's boast were incredulous to say the least with many mentioning his infamous bone spur that kept him out of the Vietnam War while others referenced an infamous CNN report that suggested Trump was afraid of stairs.

Several others called out Trump's bravado, by sharing the infamous GIF of Trump being rattled by a bald eagle on his desk with others shared a moment from the 2016 campaign trail during which an attendee who tried to climb on stage scared Trump.

It's doubtful this is the last outlandish thing Trump will say on the shooting but, for now, it's by far the most eye-opening claim in a long while for the president.
