It's been six months to the day since President Donald Trump, Tweeter-in-Chief, has taken office, and looking back on the journey has revealed what an absurd amount of his 140-character blurbs he's sent out.

He's reportedly passed zero pieces of major legislation and spent 40 days golfing, but more importantly the man has sent over 900 damn tweets since becoming president.
Terrified by the sheer volume of tweets this man was able to fire out in a mere six months, we decided to take a deeper look at Trump's Twitter habits and examine just how many tweets he's sent from announcing his candidacy until his inauguration, in the six months leading up to his inauguration, and during his first six months in office. And yes, we remembered to check for deleted ones...
With a little help from the Trump Twitter Archive, we traveled back in time to bring you these terrifying numbers.
Trump officially announced his candidacy at Trump Tower in New York on June 16, 2015. Since then, the man has sent a whopping 9,146 tweets, including retweets, from his personal account. That's absolutely YUGE, almost 12 tweets per day— but to be fair, it is over the course of three years.

During the six months prior to his Jan. 20, 2017 inauguration Trump tweeted a respectable 1,837 times, about 10 tweets a day. And though it seems like Trump's tweets consume our days since he's taken office, the archives show he's actually tweeted less in his first half year than he did leading up to his swearing in.
From Jan. 20, 2017 until July 20, 2017 Trump appears to have fired off a mere 1,002 tweets at the time of writing this article, which breaks down to about 5.5 tweets per day. Feels like A LOT more; however, keep in mind that the president has deleted his fair share of tweets — at least 22 that we know of.
RIP covfefe tweet.Credit: screengrab/twitterThat's a decrease of around 45% from the six months prior to his inauguration, but one would hope he has less time for tweeting as the actual president versus on the campaign trail.
Though Trump's tweeting habits seem to have slowed a bit after taking office, if he keeps up this pace we're looking at around 8,000 tweets by the end of his first term.
