The list features recommended apps and games for five groups of Singaporeans. They are:

Singapore has a reputation for being a food paradise and discovering new food haunts is many Singaporeans' favourite pastime. Apps in this selection include restaurant reservation app Chope, dedicated food camera Foodie and food delivery service Deliveroo.

To call someone a "kancheong spider" refers to how they're constantly in a frantic mode. If you happen to fall under this category, you can apply all that energy to speed demon racing games such as Super SteamPuff, Cannon Hero Must Die and Thumb Drift.

3. Stylo milo

When it comes to shopping in Singapore, it's not only women who are into looking a million bucks. Stay on top the style stakes with personal shopping app Shoppr or get your home looking like it belongs in the pages of Vogue Livingwith interior design app Houzz.

4. The hipster

Also known as culture vultures, this group will most probably shun Pokémon Go simply because it's too mainstream for their indie-minded liking. In this case, artistic games like INKS, Dots & Co and Steppy Pants will be right up a hipster's alley, while nursing a cuppa brew.

5. Weekend fitness warrior

Singaporeans are a busy lot, spending most of their time working. Come weekend, their idea of relaxation is to work up a sweat to stay fit. Burn those calories with personal training apps Zova and FitStar -- they're as good as having a trainer at your back and call.

The "Being Singapore" collection will be featured on the App Store until Aug. 12.
