Enraged and concerned citizens are now texting one of the men that's largely responsible for tearing families apart at the U.S. border.

Separating children from their parents at the border has led to disturbing conditions at detainment facilities -- the sound of children screaming as they were taken from their parents and reports of teenagers required to change toddlers' diapers are prompting outcry all over social media.

Trump's senior policy advisor Stephen Miller has reportedly been one of the main driving forces behind the decision to enforce the inhumane policy. But Miller told the New York Timesthat "it was a simple decision" to make, and that "no one is exempt from immigration law."

While Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen defended the practice during a White House press briefing on Monday, Miller's been laying lower. But that all changed on Wednesday when Splinter published his personal phone number.

Apparently Miller's phone is either busy or turned off because people are having trouble calling him. You can still text him, though, and let him know what you think about the brutal policy he pushed for. And plenty of people have.

Some are actually using the opportunity to lecture Miller on his complete lack of compassion:

Even Mark Pocan, a Wisconsin Congressman who visited the border last week and called the policy "pure evil," sent a few messages.

Some Twitter users went for more personal attacks.

Others, well, took more unconventional approaches to going off on Miller. You have to give them credit though -- these haveto be annoying.

And as Splinter points out, it's not like the president can complain. In 2015, Trump himself gave out Republican opponent Lindsey Graham's cellphone number during a campaign event in South Carolina. Trump also posted a photo on Instagram that included the phone number of Univision anchor Jorge Ramos.

But doxxing someone even as hated as Miller does have consequences. Nathan Lerner, director of Build The Wave, saw his account temporarily limited after posting Miller's number. A tweet from Splinter containing the number was also deleted by Twitter.

Miller is bound to change his number at some point soon, but until then it seems like people will keep giving him a piece of their mind.

UPDATE: June 20, 2018, 4:12 p.m. PDT It looks like Miller has already swapped out his number.
