When you love a team, there is nothing quite like seeing them in person.

The parents of 9-year-old Kolt Kyler were well aware of this, which is why they decided to reward their son with ticket to see his beloved Chicago Cubs.

Kolt's half-sister Hannah Himes told ABC News that Kolt has been essentially the kid version of a superhero. He's not only an honor roll student, but he's on a traveling baseball team and helps his father out on their farm.

In the video, Kolt's father praises him for never complaining about having to work hard, even when he feels tired. He then goes to get an envelope, saying, "This is something here that you and I are going to do, and it's going to take the whole day to do it, okay? Do you want to do it?"

Kolt volunteers to help without hesitation, even without knowing what that "something" is. But when he finds out, his reaction is priceless.

"It will be his first time watching the Cubs in person and his first time to Wrigley," Himes told ABC News. "We're all so excited for him. It’ll be a good father-son day."

There is something so pure about a young fan's fierce love and loyalty for a favorite team, and it did not escape the notice of some Cubs players themselves. Outfielder Kris Bryant tweeted out his excitement for Kolt to watch them play this summer.

And to top that, Cubs pitcher Jon Lester offered up his personal seats for when the father and son come to the game.

We hope you have the time of your life, Kolt. You've earned it!
